God's Plan For Your Life

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” The Lord told Jeremiah to write this verse down so that we could know that He has a plan a purpose for each and every one of us, no matter how messed up our lives might get. The key for us is allowing Him to have control of our lives so that He can make that happen. Do you want the good things that God has for you? Do you want to live that life of purpose that is His plan for you? If you answered yes, would you please read the scriptures and information below and allow God to speak to your heart right now?

 1.  Romans 3:23
  • For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
  • We have all made mistakes. We have all sinned. We have all failed to be all that God has created us to be.
 2.  Romans 6:23
  • For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • There is a price that has to be paid for a person’s sins. God says that price is death. Because God did not want to see us have to pay that price He sent us the perfect gift of Jesus Christ to pay that price for us.
 3.  Romans 5:8
  • But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
  • You may not feel lovable or loved, but God says that even while you are sinning and still a sinner, He loves you. God will never stop loving you. When you were, or are, at your very worst, He still sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for you so that He could save you and have a personal relationship with you.
 4.  Romans 10:9
  •  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
  • This tells us how to accept God’s love and how to receive God’s forgiveness for our sins and how to make Him our Lord and Savior.
  • We must be willing to confess with our mouth what we believe in our hearts. That confession and belief must be that the Jesus talked about in the Bible is the promised one, the Son of God. We must believe that He left heaven and came to earth to live a perfect example for us to follow. After He died on the cross, shedding His blood to cover our sins, He was confirmed dead and placed in a grave and three days later He was raised from the dead. By agreeing with and truly believing this, we can ask Christ Jesus to forgive us of our sins and be our Lord and Savior. When we truly do this, He promises to do just that!
 5.  Romans 10:13
  • For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
  • This means it does not matter who you are or what you have done. If you believe and accept who the Bible says Jesus is, He already loves you and will save you and forgive you of all your sins.
  6.  All that is left to do is pray and ask Him to forgive and save you.

If you just prayed to accept Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I would encourage you to e-mail us so that we can rejoice with you over this good news. We would also love to have you come and worship with us at Dora First Baptist.
